Timing Belt :)

Hello

52k on the clock - need to get the timing changed soon ... much is the kit from VW as my mate is a mechanic...

and

how much supplied and fitted from VW.

Also - is it worth while to get the water pump changed while in there ;)

my local garage told me they would do it for £80. I have just over 63000 on the clock and havent changed mine yet, just dont have the money right now.

jesus wept 80 quid! fitted?! WTF that's cheap!

the kit is going to be about 60 quid probably. do the water pump impeller too. and tensioners obviously.

probably about 80 quid parts?

I thought it'd be about 4 hours labour.....

60000 service is usually in the region of 300-400 in my experience :?

im sure thats what he said. I always go to him when I need stuff done, he done my pedal box. Maybe a heard him wrong.
