Central Locking Fault

Hi,
I've got a '98 Polo 16v. Its now off the road however. The central locking has stopped working so I can't put petrol in
. It blows a fuse the instant one is replaced. Its obviously an electrical fault somewhere. Does anyone have any ideas?
