theres people on here with 17s on their polos
and people with 16s
i think the majority of us have 15s on
i'm lowered 40mm all round on 195/50 on 15s and i scrub if i turn really sharply (like racing round car parks)
when I had 195/45s on, like most guys on 15" rims I never had a problem.

Oh thats naughty... haha
Yeah 17's the max size unless you go crazy with arch work and get 18s on which will look like a 4x4. (in other words--crap)
Probably best to get 15s but at the end of the day its up to you...
Also depends if you're planning on lowering it or not...
What plans you have for the little beast?

Yo
Good investment
Personally I'd go for 15s and then lower it lots

im prob not going to lower it at all for a while.
gonna put a new sound system into it first and wheels.
would 15s look silly without it being lowered?
would i be better off going for 16s and leaving it the way it is?
can any1 recommend wheels that i could go for

If you're not gonna lower it for a while then definately don't bother with huge wheels

before you do anything get rid of that L on the window
Start of with some clear side repeaters and indicators...
& yes it will look a bit crap with 15s without lowerin, 16s & especially 17s.
Here's mine which is on 15s... not the best of pics especially the angle but as you can see theres loads of space in the arches making it look 4x4

Alright dude. Lowering's a must for Polos in my opinion...the standard suspension makes it feel like you're driving a jelly.
Here's mine before lowering on 15s...
