hi all,
well i got the kalayami alloys i was talking about getting, and am now wondering - do i need different bolts to fit them securely?
i currently have the original bolts for the vw 13"steelies on the car (steelies are still on)- is it a straightforward swap? or do i need some new bolts (possibly extended /tapered bolts etc)???? looking at the vw kalayami alloys - the bolt space is quite narrow.
i dont fancy fitting the wrong bolts only to discover my mistake when im overtaking on the motorway!!!
also, while im here, mcgard alloy wheel bolts - anyone know what size is right for kalayami wheels on the 6n2? help im confused!!!!!

omg! and I thought I was blonde! the standard bolts should be fine, only new ones you'll want would be a pack of locking bolts which are around £15

Actually you will need alloy wheel bolts.
Steelies have a different type, and they also look gash.

but if you have covers on the middle of your wheels you'll never see them! so who cares what they look like?

Bolts are visable in the wheel in question.
It's the wheel falling off bit that I'd be more worried about.
AFAIK alloy wheel bolts are usually different to steelie bolts.

My picture
sorry m8, parts listing shows the same bolt for both the steel and alloy wheels
my pic above has the black covers on the bolts (remember to get the correct one for the vw locking set, its smaller)

Fair enough
I heard steelie/alloy bolts were different..
I remeber having to help a mate find bolts for the alloys he got for his Corsa, was such aggro
Maybe that's just with aftermarket wheels then?
Btw, ta for the pic, just noticed the squirrel
