New Alloys advice needed

Keep changing my mind about refubing or buying new. I am currently thinkg about buying new and have seen the following three wheels. Have a look:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... %3AIT&rd=1

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... %3AIT&rd=1

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... %3AIT&rd=1

My questions are:
- will these fit the gti?
- I'm not familiar with the fit sizes for the hub - can anyone advise what I should specify?
- are there any issues with tyres rubbing?
- which design would you go for?

Any advice is much appreciated.

First ones are 5 x 100 so would need adaptors

Second ones I should think would fit

Third ones will fit

(going by the sizes they specify)

IIRC the sizes on the GTi are -

PCD = 4 x 100
Offset = ET35

In my opinion orginal BBS alloys suit the GTi best, if I was too choose from the ones you posted it would be the second set, the others dont do it for me.

TSW Catalunyas on a (filthy!) black Polo:

Out of all three choices I'd go for those, or the ACE alloys. Tough call, depends what finish you prefer really, gunmetal centres or all-silver polished finish?

I would defo go for the Ace 112`s they will look the best i reckon - if not the TSW`s with a good refurb into anthracite or gunmetal grey would look lovely !!

The TSWs are gunmetal grey as standard :wink:

The Ace ones are certainly my favourite at the moment. I love the style of the BBS, and my perfect wheel on this car would be the 16" version - but I don't want to fork out on a refurb every couple of years.

Does the price seem OK do you think - including 'performance tyres' - hmmm

Think I've found a new front runner - close to the original design of the BBS without going overboard. What do you think?

Really not a fan of those...

If you want something similar to the bbs ones, what about mine:

Phil,

They are spot on - exactly what I'm looking for. Do you have a link as to where I can get them? Do you know if they come as a 16"?

Yeh they come in 15" and 16", mine aint this years, they are older ones. I recon the new ones only come in 7". Mine are from the german rondell place so maybe thats why...

Hasnt got the 16" gti fitting ones listed here, but im sure they do them. Bit more expensive direct from rondell. Try emailing dubmeister, thats who supplied mine:

Hope this helps!

PS. Yeh that was priced at wheels only.
