POLO BATTERY CHANGE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive changed battery on my Polo 2001 6N2 and ive lost all ignition and dials everything only thing that works the starter turns is there like a reset switch for this? Or isit a main dealer thing.

have you distrubed anything when you changed it,are all fuses ok which sit on top of battery/are terminal tight
did you or a garage/shop change the battery,if so get them to check it out could be there mistake

just read owners manual

AFTER RECONNECTING BATTERY YOU SHOULD
reset the clock
the electric front seats be readjusted to suit blah blah blah (only if you have em!!! :roll:

the starting procedure for petrol engines with starting and idling problems should be carried out as follows:turn on ignition for 30 seconds,then switch off the iginition, then start the engine

Ive got no ignition what so ever the full lot is off even the interior light nothing works except when i turn the car over the starter turns. The fuses on top of the battery are still in tact ive look at fuses its a mystery any ideas anyone???
Its like somet has kicked in and turn the car off completely like immobilser or something i dont know just guessing.

sounds silly,but is the battery fully charged hasnt been sitting around for awhile,does the starter turn over slow or quickly....

Quite quickly it seems strange really... but even if it was was flat it wouldnt turn the starter but it would like the dash board as it take less power.

read though hand manual and doesnt say anything part from that 30 second bit, have you tried it ?

try disconnecting the battery again

has the battery been fitted back to front + to - / - to +

Yeah i dont have a manual, and the terminals are correct its a tough one i can see it now :roll:

Looked today found out was a earth lead snapped of the chassis as the earth lead from the battery has a split in the middle and it had snapped few thought it was going to be a big job :D
