m8 its a cheap looking piece of kit

you want the votex vw accessory kit,,, upgrades you to remote central locking, lilttle box of tricks that sits in line with the central locking pump, two keyfobs supplied, works with total closure functions, can be linked to blinkers so they flash on lock/unlock...

search for posts by me, ive got it fitted and its just what I needed

i can vouch for the company and the kit, i don't know if it will fit the mk5 but i don't see why it wouldn't....it comes with metal rods which you have to bend to suit your own car so they should work. i wrote a guide on how to install that kit into my mk2 in the diy guides section....obviously it won't help you on your car but i might give you an idea of what the kit consists of and work involved. :D

had one of those kits come though but the solenoids looked abit cheap,if your mk5 has central locking already, search ebay community for

pierrehartung

he has remote central locking kits on there, they have the flip type remotes to, only problem he doesnt take paypal, and based in germany you can get free translation if you search google

hope this helps

Yes bought from Vag-parts, I know the price is more, but its a quality bit of kit that will last and is plug and play, except splicing in the optional flasher connections, but this is simple

The ebay kit would require you to replace all the bits with the solenoids they supply etc... and do more wiring etc...

that kit was perfect for my mk2 but if your car has already got central locking fitted then just buy 1 of those boxes, be alot easier, if you used the kit you would have to replace all the wiring and solonoids plus it won't be as good quality as the standard solonoids (as inder said  )

yes come with instructions (plug and play though), operates all locks on the car. optional connection to your flashers too, so flashes once on unlock and twice on lock 8) also if you hold down the unlock or lock button, it activates total closure to open and close your windows (inc sunroof if fitted) remotely
