Quick Exhaust Question

Am I right in thinking that all the exhaust layouts of the MK4s (inc. 16Vs)are the same? I think I read that somewhere, but not 100% sure if I made it up...
Also, are they the same as a Gti (00-02)?
The reason I'm asking is cause I've found my exhaust I wanted cheaper then Venom, but they're unsure of the fitting. They state "for All VW Polo Hatchback (Years 94-00) and Inc GTI (00-02)", so I'm just checking that it will fit my 1.3L before I buy it! I reckon it will be fine, it's just the GTi bit that's throwing me really.
