Does your car have to have door pins or a mechanical way of unlocking doors to pass an mot or will an electronic unlock button suffice?

The doors must be able to be opened from the inside and outside of the car, although im sure theres more than 1 way of passing this section.
Check the following link for more info mate-

I'd like to have none, like the Audi's do.
When they're locked they just have a red LED flashing where the door pins should be.

i replaced the pins with leds and installed an unlock button with security in mind but overlooked my mot which is due tomorrow :S, i suppose this should be fine as my mates leon has no unlock button and u cant get hold of door pins when locked, like the audi ones. nevermind lol, panic over

the altea is a bit bigger than a polo mate, more of a mini mpv than a car!!
sort of like the golf plus!!

as long as you can unlock the door in an emergancy. like in the fords just pull on the door handle and it unlocks then your all good. if you have to push a button then yank the handle then i think it may be a prob
