G40 Conversion

hey. ive been thinking for a while about changing my 1.4 8v engine for a G40. however, i dont of anywhere that i can stil get these engines new, or totally refurbed. Any info on what needs done for the swap or how to get the parts is highly appreciated. cheers

Try talking to "Oz" on these forms or as "Oli" if your on club polo (same guy)

Dude just sell your 8v and buy oli's car, it'll work out cheaper (a lot cheaper), and his car is fuckin imense !!
It really is, just look at the spec !! followed him up the motorway and that thing absolutely flies, just drove away from my 16v !!!
You'd prob end up spending like £4000-5000 to get a decent conversion, cause you'll need new brakes, the engines are pretty dear and will need work 90% of the time !
Seriously, buy his car !! I think everyone can vouch for this car being a serious, SERIOUS, piece of kit !!

You're dead right in saying that, if you bought it you'd have a nicely tuned G40 engine, sweet body styling and a mk3 golf leather interior, its already set up perfect with brembo brakes!!
