engine swap help

ok i have just converted my engine from a spi to mpi, when i turned the car on the fuel pump never came on and i there was no spark
i got everything for the conversion... but i am lost on how it wont start!!
can someone please help me out if they have either had the same prob or no wot they are talking bout cheers
