2.0litre Polo - Cant it be done?

Hi guys,
A month ago my seat ibiza 2.0litre GTi got rear ended, i can find the car and get various parts from it through my insurers no problem. What i want to know is...........................has anyone done/seen/heard of a 2.0litre 8v mk4 Polo??
Being similar cars i imagine swapping dials, ECU's, interiors, locks, looms, and brakes shouldnt be too much of an issue, however what i am not sure on is that i will be able to shoehorn that engine under the bonnet without some serious rebulding of the front end, and will the smaller Polo be able to take the power and weight?
I have seen 1.8 20vt mk4 Polos, but i know the amount of work that has gone into these and the fabrication involved. This would be me and my mate (who is a classic car restorer) carrying out the conversion over a few weekends.
Just an idea at this point, would have to figure out the cost of the project etc and see if its worth it, any ideas views welcomed.
