mk4 rear discs

does any one know if the 16v came with rear discs as standard or drums?
if drums are they the same as the 8v?as im thinking of doing a full gti disc swap.

Afaik it was 98 on 16v's that came with rear discs, i dont know if the 16v and 8v drums are the same...

Late 16v's came with rear discs. As for doin a rear disc conversion, I too was looking into it, but was told it was pretty pointless as the majority of the breaking will be done on the front discs anyway given the size of the car etc etc so the difference would not be too great (not sure how true this is however)
Ibiza gti or cupra rear axles fit straight on the 6n iirc, and they have rear discs so its pretty much a straight swap and then uprgrading etc.
