is there any rebuilt kits avail for the mk2 polo(88 1.3) i know rebuilding them on a golf makes a big diff!

our polo is rather sloppy

Find the ball and socket setup where the shift rod from the box meets the shift rod from the gearlever, and pinch the 'box' which holds the rubber ball so that the ball is held more firmly. Probably best just to take the gearlever assembly off and pinch it in a vice. Makes a massive, massive difference just by tightening up the linkage between the two rods - no need to spend money either

this cup that i squash....is it under the car??

i think its inside as its at the bottom of the gear sitck...plese correct me if im wrong
