gear selector rod/cable

does anybody know whether my car is a rod or cable gear box from its model and year? or does it jus depend on the gearbox?
its a 1998 1.4 cl, and how do i tell other wise?

90% sure its a rod change on that one, easy way to tell get under the car, see if rods go from the gear sellector into the box

so that probably wont fit as it looks to me to be cable?

Just been out to check mine for ya. Definately a rod. The one on ebay is a cable for a 1.4 16v. The CL's were 8v and rod
