lastnight i took off and after about 2 minutes looked down and saw i was doing 4000 revs...but though hmm i should only really be doing about 2000... and when i was doing like 70 it said i was doing like 5000-6000 revs...

when i got home i turned off my ignition and the needle settled down and stopped at around 1500 revs and stayed there...

how the hell can i sort that

Hello there, just viewed your problem with your rev needle and it sounds a little similair as to a problem of my own. (my needle stays some where around the fuel guage mark when I turn the car off) I am taking mine to VW today to see what they say. Just wondering though as to whether you have manged to get your sorted and what the problem was. Cheers Gav

mine sorted itself, i just gave the car a thrash and that made the needle go back to normal for some reason lol
