Hello everyone,

I am planning to change my Engine oil for my 1.4 16v model. I realised that underneath my car are all covered by the plastic, which is below the Engine. In this case, I found it difficult to do the oil change. Does anyone of you done oil change before for the 16v model? How do I can take the plastic cover off from the car? And what do I need to be aware of?

the plastic cover is only a guard, its nuthin big, just get ur car up in the air an there will prob be screws holdin the cover in place, just unscrew them an ''hey presto'' theres the sump, get the oil out an filter changed, an then put the cover back on, fill ya car wit black juice an away u go,

dont wana sound the old know it all but it isnt black juice when it goes in its a clearish colour well at least stuff i have is

It's probably held in with Torx screws like Audi's are.

New oil is gold, used oil is black.

If it's black when it comes out, it means it's working well and collecting up all the debris from your engine

what exactly does the oil pick up? just particles that wear from the engine?

yea fords are also held in with the torx screws, an i know its not black but i was just bein diff by sayin black juice instead of sayin''oil''

an i know its a goldish colour, i also worked used 2 work with FORD so i sorta know a few things, its handy 2 come out witha bit of knowlegde but wen im stuck the good haynes maual is handy.
