1.4cl 98s gearbox question

hi everyone got a question for you all, everytime i get into 4th the gear seems to want to jump out of it 4 a few sec when its fine, i've been slow bringing the clutch up but i can still feel it when i put a bit of power on.]
Anyone have any idea why. Im new driving a polo so might just be one of those things,
