hi everyone im drivin a 2001 1.4 8v!

my mate has a honda civic 1996 version and when his exhaust went he ordered a new one from honda for the 1.4i and by mistake they sent a 1.6 vtec exhaust which he had fitted and fitted fine now his car sounds mint and not to loud and barry!

i pressume this is because of the bigger diameter of the 1.6 pipe am i right?

well i was wondering if the same could be done for my polo will the gti exhaust fit on my 1.4 8v i want it from the cat back! if anybody could help me out by telling me whether the exhaust will fit or part numbers fo the gti exhuast (people with ETKA or ETOS) it would be much appreciated! t

Not knowing too much about exhausts, i would say it would probably fit but may need slight adjustment at the cat ?!?! but i doubt the pipe work will be much different so probably won't sound any different, feel free tho for anyone to correct me on this

dunno - maybe worth posting in the gti section - they`ll probably know !!

im pretty sure there is no difference between the beefyness of the exhaust note as you call it regarding the 8v and 16v models of the MKV

i really don't think that vw would have gone to all that trouble making bigger pipes for the higher models
anyone?
