I've just spent the last two days (thursday and friday afternoon on my car..)

We have a Meila Hoover and i found a accessories box, of which it contained a head for the hoover specifically designed for cleaning cars :) - worked a charm, removed my rear seats and everything in the boot, cleaned and washed all the s**t and mud and grime that had accumilated over the last few years..

Also earlier on in the week a mate brought round his pc for me to upgrade for him, he was throwing out some speakers which he dropped off as a nice thank u! - anyway they are 2 x full component sets of SPL Dynamics :D

(150W & 180W + tweeters)

Installed and wired them all up today:

I know have:
2 x 6.5" 180W SPL Dynamic Midd-Bass + 2 Tweeters in front doors
2 x 4.5" 150W SPL Dynamics in side panels (may put tweeters in, will need to buy 2 more..)
2 x 300W Mutant X 150Wrms 6x9s in Parcel Shelf

Currently using a Pioneer DEH-890 30Wx4 (no skip protection LOL)

Will have: Sony CDX-5000R + Remote + 10 Disc CD Changer, although seems to be lost in post atm.. (apparently)..

:)

Next stuff on my list is:
New Aerial
Left Wing Mirror Install
Rear Bumper Install

I've got a job paying £100 a day down in london, so will be staying with friends for 2 or 3 months as of June, be back on weekends, spending it on my car :D

Am going to get: All Rust & any welding possibly required done professionaly, and colour matched.

New alloys, + fitted on to my 175/50s that have just arrived.. :D
And newer manifold/exhaust system installed (nothing rude boy, something more efficient is what i'm after..)

Oh and i polished all the chrome on the car:

Also installing speakers and wiring them into this MK1 is alot more time consuming than newer cars.. i laughed off a MK4 speaker install guide.. didnt help at all ..

Have not yet sanded down the areas of rust in the spare tyre area, although will be doing it tomorrow, just been out to get a selection of sand papers..

As for the colour, it's staying the same..

It's different and i like it.. :)

i think that would look cool restored with Mertsham Phil's set of 13" wheels on there  (what happened with them anywho? did you get them?)

i need to sort out some speakers in my car soon, started crackling and hissing, may just replace the back speakers for some simular new speakers or possibly get front speakers but will need to fabricate my own door pods which are a bit of a pain :?

Well at the moment i am planning on keeping it as it is, however i have landed a job in london paying £100 a day from June 1st onwards (full time) so i will be able to afford that paint job..

I just didnt want to get the black with blue tint and get it done cheap, and at the time i didnt know i would be able to afford it.. now i can get it done professionally and really really well done.. this will get done by the end of the summer.. :)

Anyway as for those 13s, i will be getting them, but at the end of the month when i get paid.. :)

MK2Adam, i don't know what your after but i have 2 x 6x9 Sony Mutant X 300W (150W RMS) that are literally about 2 months old and have hardly been used, although i have sprayed the covers with black glosse to make them less obvious and they look alot smarter than the tacky silver..

If you want them just shout as i no longer need them.. £35 incl delivery? (originally £45 + £10 delivery).. despite what anyone may say, they are fantastic quality.. only get rid of them as i no longer have any more channels left due to SPL Dynamics..
