im looking to find out what kind of carb ive got on my car.

ive got a L reg m3 polo genesis 1.05ltr. all i can see on the carb is bosch, is this the make because i need to know so i know ,what kind of bolt on k&n filter i need to buy.

Your Polo does'nt have a carb, it has a Bosch Mono-motronic single point injection system which is controlled by an ECU. The throttle body looks the same as a carb but it isnt.

I think the air box on yours is the same as the Mk2 fitted with a carb, so the air filters might be interchangeable. You can get filter elements from K&N and possibly a kit which replaces the whole box but I'm not too sure.

All Mk3 Polo's were fitted with fuel injection in either single or multi-point type.
