Can MK5 Polo Rear Lights Fit A MK4 POLO??

Hey this is my first post on here and i need some help, last nite sum lil w**k broke my rear light on the driver side and i now need a new one but was wondering if the MK5 polo rear lights would fit my MK4 polo??
any help?

yes all you need to do is swap the indicator and brake light wires around!!

thanks for the help guys.. Im not to sure about the drilling part thats the off putting bit, but i will buy a pair and take it from there! cheers

you only have to drill a hole if you want the flush finish...
ive seen lots of cars that dont have it flush

or you could just stick them on as they are carefully take out the fog light lense and stick a red bulb in the reverse side if u get me
