whilst browsing i see that most people have lowered there car.
i was wondering what is the most common lowering mesurement?
the reason i ask is because im getting old and at the mo (for my sins) i drive a

corsa sri thats been lowered 40mm and that shakes and kills my back driving over a small stone.
are there any other options other than 60-80mm wich seem to be the norm?
also if anyone has any pick you would like to post showing the different mesurments please post them here stateing what size wheels you have and how much you have lowered it by

I have got -40 PI springs on mine and it is almost as comfortable as it was on normal springs, hard to notice any difference unless hitting a very bad road surface.
Previous cars I have lowered have always got noticably less comfortable, but not the Polo on -40 PIs.

ive had mine lowered 40mm on springs initially and im now around 75-80mm lowered on coilovers. the ride was much harsher and bumpier on springs, and whilst its still hard and bumpy now, its not as bad and feels safer and sturdier (if thats a word and makes sense?

) personally if you want to lower your car, coilovers are the way to go, as if you lower on springs you'll only end up wanting to go lower (speaking from experience!!)

im runnin a set of 14x9 rims on the back of me 6n and its been lowered 40mm but cos the rims are so mahoosive they stick right out of the arches and touch the arches when ive got people in the back ive seen bump stop spacers that you stick onto your springs so they only have a certain amount of travel but i cant remember where ive seen them! if anyone knows what im talkin about could you let me kno cos the rubbin noise goes thru me everytime i hit a squirrel sized bump!
