Mine are absolutely filthy

If I was to wash them with a damp cloth am I looking for trouble?
Also is there a fabric dye spray can? Want to get them black?

Yeah. Damp cloth will be fine. Or you could use an upholstry car cleaner - you know the foaming ones with a brush on the end?
