Hi Guys,

Done a few mods this week. Finally got my VeeDub badge back in after being treated to a coat of gloss back by my younger bro who gets roped in on a regular basis! Well happy with how it looks with the lights. Had my cracked windscreen replaced at long last. I've also ditched the vag wipers in favour of a single wiper with a black smooth arm. Looks ok but needs some tinkering. Have had single wipers on my previous cars and have been really good but this one fits very poorly and overlaps the screen. Will have it all sorted this weekend though. Here's a few piccies:

Looking like someone stole the badge:

Its ace when driving too. Like driving a merc or a jag just sweeps across fast for that finishing touch.

I now want to get my windows tinted but the problem is I have now read that you cannot have any tints to the drivers front and passenger front windows. I thought there was a limit of 70% transmission to these and then what ever you want on the back. I just wanted the 70% transmission all round as I don't like smoked fronts and black out rears like jap cack. Just want subtle smoke all round but looking like I won't bother as there is so much difference in the interpretation of the laws.

I am also toying with the Idea of ditching the door mouldings but not all together. To keep the look of the car I am possibly going to get the door handles done gloss black and fit a set of mk5 6n2 gloss black mouldings too. What do you rekon? Don't wan't none as I like the protection from damn door bashers  . Think it'll be done when I tidy up the little dings here and there. I want to keep them coz I think it works well with the theme I've gone for. It'd look odd without to me.

or you could paint a set of mk5 bumpstrips red? Would look good IMO, gloss black would be cool too. 8)

a very well thought out modded polo.
i like those ronal turbo's on a red car, just does it for me.

p.s. i had the same problem with my single-wiper, it was way too big for the screen, after awhile it broke though :( and the mechanism snapped whilst i was driving along and it flew into someones rose bush (couldn't do it if i tried!)
i must say i did like the way it worked.

Cheers for your kind comments. I've emailed storm wipers who are going to send me a smaller blade and then I'm going to have to pack the mechanism out from the body with washers to stop it fouling the bulkhead. They supply a spacer which isn't thick enough!!

P.S impressed with your polo too and I want that plate you lucky sod!

Cheers,

Its lowered 60mm on a Jamex suspension kit which I got from Banshee Motorsport for £190 + p&p. Nice and easy to fit so long as you've got a big can of WD40!
