AND IT BEGINS..........................

right! ive had the car for
SIX days and heres the list of faults!!!
1. had to buy new battery
2. speedo needle works when it feels like it
3. number plate light dont work ( to be fare i havnt checked the fuse yet)
people say that bad luck comes in threes..........i friggin hope so

speedo and numberplate light happened to me and i replaced a fuse sorted it

petrol guages have always been swines on VW's dont think i've had one yet that hasnt had an itermittent fault of some kind. The speedo and the tail lights will be a fuse for a guess. Cant grumble at a battery, whats the year, condition, history and how much did you pay for the car. Bearing in mind most MK4's are heading for ten years old now

The petrol guage in my pug used to move, it was when I went round corners, I think that with the petrol moving about the sensor didn't know where it was, once I straightened up it went back to where it should be.

Polo's shouldnt do that, i know what you mean though, my mrs has Fiats and they are terrible for it. My dubs have never moved with corners

dose anyone know wich fuse the speedo is on?? ive checked the plate bulbs and they are blow so that can be easily fixed.
any tips welcome

If its not the fuse it'll be the cable and its an arse to do DIY

errr actually it doesnt seem to have a fuse as its not in the handbook
