just wanted to check, mk5 lights wont fit the mk4 will they?
i just want to do something different with my headlights instead of angel eyes......any ideas? have seen a jetta with tinted headlights but sounds like a tricky job.

Na i dont think they would fit mate , but one of the funniest mods i have seen was black tights stretched over my mates lights to tint them quality cheap and easy!!

ye ive seen that done on rear lights but on front lights?!!?!? haha
well maybe angel eyes will have to do

not sure what there called, but the tinted headlights for the jetta you can only my in america, if you go on vw vortex, quite alot of the guys have them on there golf mk3's....apparently to get the same effect-ish, you can take you lens off your lights, and then spray the bottom black, or dark grey, that should then reflect around the lights creating the effect that there tinted................but...i have no idea what it actually looks like and what it does to your lights

ye cheers mate your on the same wavelenght, im just not too confident on cutting up my lights!i think i will get a set from a scrappy to practise, need something more original than angel eyes, i was thinking about the crystal like chrome normal headlights but i forgot the company that make them! thanks anyway

yeah the crystal ones look good, but tinting them would be good as you never see it done, could be worth trying,

what car is your car?? if its dark then you should defo go for tinting.....i wonder how legal it is lol

ive got a black mk4 with black rims and polished lip and aslo smoked rear lights so could look pretty mean being all black.....check the pics!
well im off to the scrappy sometime this week and il post up the results, if theyre worth it!

the mk 4 and mk5 lights are different. i know cause i have the facelift model and my mum has the other one. bit of a bugger really cause i was hoping to use the angel eyes of it but dont wanna muck around. same with the bonnets, theyre different sizes. but as far as i can see if u wanna fit side skirts, the facelift model and the normal model are the same. i was thinking of getting some skirts for the mk4 and putting them on my face lift model. cause i was measuring my mums car and my car and they sde skirt space seems the same as we both have 5 doors.

ye i think i will give it a go, ive just got myself some black angel eyes but i still want to try this. the only thing is if you paint the chrome in the lights surely they will go dull wont they? as the bulbs shine onto the chrome to make them bright? well il post hte results up but it wont be till after my holiday

yea i think thats supposed 2 b the effect, thats why u only spray the bottom bit coz it will change the lighten effect....well thats the plan
