Hi Im new to this site and to polos as well.

The central lockinf has packed up the car opens with the key but only on the passenger side. when the key is put in the lock and turned it makes the noise as if it wants to open/close but nothing.
Hopefully it will be something quite easy so any help is gratefully accepted.

well the noise you normally hear is the central locking pump, so if you still get this noise, it's probably safe to assume that the pump is working OK. I thought this is worth mentioning as it's something that fails relatively often on the mk4.

could be leak in the one of the vacuum tubes.
