My clutch pedal has gone squeaky

I recently got my clutch replaced, and now after a bit of driving the clutch feels like its gone slightly stiffer. And everytime i depress the clutch there is a squeaky sound coming from inside the bonnet . So i checked inside but couldn't pinpoint where the sound was coming from, it was around the clutch cable area. It may just be the spring at the end of the clutch cable but can't be too sure, anybody else had this problem? hope it's nothing major

i had a similar problem too, mine was due to the clutch cable was seizing up, so i tried lubricating it up, made no difference, so i changed the clutch cable and it hasnt happed since.

I think the clutch cable becomes twisted inside, when the nut holding it onto the clutch gear arm is being tightened up during install and this is what causes it to make a noise when tensioned by pressing the pedal
Someone has posted this info before and how to solve it, hope helps

I think you need to take off the clutch cable at the arm, leave it connected at the pedal end
then twist it the correct way to undo any twist within the cable sheath itself and then put it back on and carefully do up nut without putting any new twists in it
