Hello all,

I've just registered and I need some advice.

Firstly, is a 51 reg 6N2 a MK5????

Next, I need to remove the near side Hub to check the shoes etc..... I was hoping someone could advise me on how to do this as I can't get it to come off. I've done this on many other cars but the Polo is being a pain in the Butt.

Thanks in advance.

yea a 51 reg would be the 6n2. it's just like another model name for the mk5.

by the way welcome to the forum as well.

yup wheel removal is all that is needed, unless you want to part the shoes from the pad

on the same note, i stripped all my brakes yesterday. wasn't too bad at all, except one of the caliper bolts was completely stuck (they studlock them in anyway), so stuck that me and my dad ended up heating it up with an oxyacetylene welder/blowtorch lol. Heated it till it caught fire then it loosened with ease :D
