Okay anyone have any ideas where i could get a spring for my car seat..
its the one that gives tension to the forward/backwards handle. not the little spring but the one that locks the handle into place.

its gone on mine now and since my wife is a bit of a short a** its getting to be a bit dangerous as the seat if not clipped down can move all the way back..

i tried with a temp spring that i found but it just keeps coming off..

last thing i need to have to do is buy a bloody seat from a scrapper as they wont sell me the spring loose


Any suggestions??

I am in exactly the same situation and tried a DIY trick with a pair of pliers and bungee chord. My Dad got in and the seat went straight back!!

Unfortunately, had to resort to VW and get a new seat frame :s but I'm having it done at the local garage - not cheap!

Sorry I couldn't be anymore help, and all this over a spring!!!
