I have a 2000 Polo 6N2 and at the moment its just standard. I want some 16's on it so i can drop it to the floor but have no idea what rimz to get.
I was thinking about these
but i really want some deep dish rimz as they look soo much better.
I have about £500. Could someone point me in the right direction. Thanx[/list]

Hi there, and welcome to the forum. Have a look on eBay for some decent second-hand wheels. You can find some good deals on there. Also, check out
http://www.dubmeister.co.uk. For some more wheels with a bit more dish.
I reckon you should go for 15" wheels though. They'll work out cheaper than 16" wheels, and you should find a decent set within your budget, and you should be able to slam your car a lot more than you could with 16" wheels.
But if you want 16 inch wheels, go for it. I have 16" BBS RXII's on mine, and they look brilliant.

Welcome to the forum,
Tyres will cost you more for 16" low profiles in comparason to 15" low profile tyres. Either way i have found you need to order these in as majority of places will not keep them in stock
just my 2p's worth and hoperfully see it transform shortly

14s are the way forward mate
But if you are after 16s have you considered BBS RX's/RXII's or even 16" RH cups?

i know a girl who had those rims you have shown from rochford tyres and i think they looked horrible especially after all the kerbing that has been done to it

i have 15s on mine and they still scrub.. need to get low profile tyres, ideally you'd want to drop your car 60+ so i'd say get 15s

16's i agree look well suited to the polo

but expect to pay high prices for tyres!
about 70 quid a corner for 45's!!

I use Toyo Proxes T1-R tyres on my 16's, in 195/40/16. The smaller profile keeps close to the stock rolling radius, meaning that your speedo won't be off by much. However, they're quite expensive compared to other tyres with a larger profile.

I've bought 215/45/14 for my 9s and 195/45/14 for my 8s

Just a suggestion, how about some Borbet wheels, either the "A" or the "T". They come in 16", with five spokes, and loads of dish. Secondhand ones can be picked up for reasonable prices on ebay, or the classified sections in various VAG forums. All I know is that either wheel would look pimp on a slammed 6N2.

I got 195/45 16 A539 Yoko rubber for £30 a corner which I thought was pretty good.
