Although 110mph sounds unrealistic...

Good price, although they aren't Mk1 Golf alloys. Look like aftermarket items to me... :?

aye  you sure it's a 1045cc too?

my car struggles to get to 100mph, no way it'd do 110mph unless i dropped it out of a plane at 10k ft lol?

looks nice though mate 8)

p.s why don't you whack your exip alloys on there, they'd look great

Well, the thing is its registered as a 1 litre, but it accelerates So much faster than my mates 1 litre.. (a suzuki swift and fiat panda) and it seems quite happy at 100mph, very stable, no shaking or problems, speedo isnt shaking or anything.

This morning i took it out to a "private" long stretched road and got it past the speedo's 100mph limit with out any problems. once i hit 100mph i held the accelerator floored for about another 10 seconds then dropped off and it didnt have any probs.. lol

and by no means does it look modified at all..

Update
This morning i've removed all decals and sticks from the car except the largest one on the paint work which i'm going to do tomorrow morning when i have time as i wanna get it right..

Just given it:
- New Air Filter
- New Oil Filter
- New Oil
- Full Tank + Engine / Exhaust Cleaner

Tomorrow i'm going to remove the front left arch and put in a nice new aerial and wire that up, stick my head unit into it and wire that up with some tweeters. (nothing major this time hehe)

Exips will go on at end of month, maybe with lowering kit..

Youll probably find that the speedo has gone mad. Its the same on mine. I have a rev counter to compare with, and at 100mph on the speedo, Im only doing 4000rpm. And 4000rpm equates to just 84mph in top gear. The top speed of the early 1.05 is 88mph (Great Scott!) So id say thats not far off.

Either way i love it :) - my satnav reads im doing 66mph at 70mph so it cant be too far off..

Had it checked out this morning by a friend of mine who owns an MOT garage and he said he wasnt sure if it was a 1litre of a 1.1..

not a great photo, on phone camera took it rather quickly in poor light..

swapped my 165/65 13" over with the exips..

definately needs slamming, unsure if i could get away with more than 60/40
