Hi im new to the site. i have a 51 reg mk 5 polo gti 6n2 and have owned it for about 7 month's now. has any one on here had problems with there gear box's? i have allready had mine rebuilt at 34000 miles and it now needs redoing at 36000. i have being told that the gear box's are toffy and go all the time but can any1 shead some light on things???

Certainly the 6n had a problem with the clutch pedal box which would need replacing at around 50k miles, my GTi had exactly that.

I don't know about a total gearbox problem, but like I say, repost for more answers.
