Just a quick question, I have a 1997/8 6N and a mate told me that the heater controls should light up!
Does anyone's light up coz mine dont?

yep they should do. try hitting it, worked for me. otherwise you might need to replace the bulb.

Yes the heater controls should light up...check the bulb light under the central knob...

Have you sorted this problem?
I have the same issue, all other switches and lights light up fine but just the three heater controls dont seem to work. I took off the fascia and there is no signs of a bulb!
Cheers

This method worked for me, so I'm assuming that its just a dodgy connection somewhere. As for the bulbs inside it, I couldn't see the bulb
but there is a plastic piece which channels the light into sort of 3/4 of a doughnut shaped pieces of plastic. These then sit behind the heat conrols and should be what lights up.

when you have taken the front panel off (the one with the light distributors mentioned above), the bulb is inside a white housing that clips onto the back of the panel that is left behind.
It took a bit of gentle persuasion to get the holder off on mine due to heater pipes etc in the way!
Replacement bulbs are about 10p-20p
