16v bumpers on an 8v...

Hi all, I'm relaively new to this board - but not new to Polo ownership as I've had mine for a couple of years now...

Anyway, My other half has just reversed into a piece of rock or concrete concealed by some weeds, and dented the rear valance right in front of where the standard exhaust exits... The metal feels really flimsy, and I doubt I'd be able to beat it back to perfection, so I was thinking of changing my bumpers for 16v ones as the rear seems to cover that whole section of metal... Has anyone done this without too much hassle? Does the standard exhaust need modifying at all?

Any thing else to look out for?

My front bumper is stonechipped to hell, and the current rear one is looking a little worse for wear as its been repsrayed at some point and the paint has oxidised a little - so I could do with freshening the car up a little anyway...

Thanks

Matt

Thanks poloboi, and thanks for the welcome (again) I must admit, I do tend to lurk on here more than I post, but thats mainly due to the reliability of the car - when its working fine, I sort of take it for granted I guess...

Thanks again

Matt

Yep definatly a straight swap - can be a mission getting the screws undone in the wheel arch but well worth it
