Removing rear badges

hya guys
im wanting to take off "polo gti" off the back of my car
is it ok to just take them off myself ? or will they leave holes in the boot ?
thought id ask bfor i start taking them off lol

just take them off use a hairdryer or boiling water to lossen the glue no holes left what so ever

best thing to do is get abit of fishing line behind the letters coz it cuts straight through the sticky stuff then use a rag an hair dryer to get the sticky stuff off the boot

I cut a bit of cotton long enough to double it up, and then just kind of sawed through it.
Then all I used what an old t-shirt and some autoglym intensive tar remover, followed by a bit of scratch-x.
Took me about 10 minutes.

Is it the same with the main VW badge? Or does that one leave a hole in the boot??

there is a circular recess behind the vw badge
