I have a 2 door polo and was wanting speakers in the rear of car. Am i right in thinking that GTi's come with speakers in the rear of the car? Also if i was to get the door cards from a Polo GTi would i be able to fit speakers easily?

If you have the Beta stereo then as far as I know it won't be that easy as it's only a 2 channel H/U, whereas the Gamma which is standard in the GTi is a 4 channel H/U meaning it runs four speakers independantly.
As for the doorcards, they would be a straight swap and have the holes in for speakers.

also upgraded speaker models had speakers in the back.. so has mine, once you get the door cards off the speakers are very easy to fit if you have an amplifier, if you dont it means cuttin wires and plugging into headunit. About the size make sure you get the 16cm ones, as they slot in perfect. I recommend Alpine ones.

to be honest with you, you don't really need rear speakers.. in ideal sound world you would get recommended mid bass and treble (speakers + tweeters) coming out the front with bass out of the back (sub)
So that way avoid 6x9s, and dont bother with the rear speakers and save yourself a bit of money.
I have simply disconnected my rear speakers. Sounds better in my opinion

oh right cool....
I have alpine speakers and tweeters in the front at the moment and a vibe 12" sub in the boot. do you think thats the best set up then?

sounds pretty good as long as you're running the speakers from the amp, and preferably through crossovers (where it separates the treble from midbass.. get confused with terms sometimes)
