Welcome to the forums.

Yup you are right, there are some nice polos around here, good to get ideas from and to see what you can really do to them.

As for your car, i would recommend a 1.4 cl. The 16v would be very high insurance if you are just passing your test, altho i am assuming that you are 17-19??

Im 21, and im paying £1000 on a pisswilly 1Litre... altho i only passed my test 8 months ago.

There will be better advice from others... so good luck in getting a polo.

Cheers,
Bainy

I reckon it depends on how long your planning on keeping the car mate. The 1.4 8v is a brilliant car and a really good choice for a first car just after passing your test. But alot of people I know with 1.4's say that now they have been driving a while they wish they had the extra power of the 16v. But like Bainy100 said you will be paying through the nose to insure it as a new driver. The end of the day whatever model you go for you know your gonna get a good reliable car.

welcome mate, as above really, 1.4cl is a great little car (my g/f has one) and it is just such a solid car!
u will pay a lot of insurance for a 16v as they are group 10!!
when i was 18 i had a 1 litre mk5 and paid £1700 for my first years insurance with no NCB!! that car was group 2!!

i think Polo Paul is selling a blue 1.4cl on here, check the For Sale section!!
