You have fitted the G40 instruments and the oil warning light comes on and buzzes, right ? The instrument clusters are compatible, so it should'nt be due to a different oil sender.

If the problem wasnt there before, it could be there is a bad contact somewhere. Check all the contacts on the connector, also check the oil sender from the engine too.

i found out the reason it is because the g40 has a 2 oil pressure sensors which senors high and low pressure my car only has a low pressure sensor so when reving so hard there is no reading causing the clocks to beep!

I had a similar problem with my 1.3...

By the time the low oil pressure warning light comes on in a MkIII Polo all the damage has already been done. The standard level is too low to be of much use.

My solution was to fit a oil pressure guage and an oil temperature guage. I've kept the warning light on the dash, but I've not removed the wire that runs to the buzzer.

It also proves to be a massive bonus of knowing the the engine oil is at the right temperature before giving it a little bit more right foot.
