right i have a fairly standard polo n need some wheels
but i dont know whether to go for 14s or 15s
i want to run it as low as posible but stil be able to get over bloody speed humps
how easy are 15s to run when low?
im thinkin A3 or g60 wheels
but are 14s gonna be easier?

welcoem to UK-P mate!!

15s are usually the choice of the people because they suit the mk4 and are still relatively comfortable to use as the tyres are 195/45!

my g/f has 15s on her mk4 and she is dropped round about 75-80mm on coilovers!
there is no scrubbage but she has mudflaps and they catch on nearly everything lol!
she also managed to catch the centre box on a bollard that was laid down on the ground in the entrance to a car park! (the bollard wasn't sunken into the ground like it should have been)!
i wouldn't recommend going lower than 80mm really, her car is still comfortable to drive in as the coilies have been on a while!

does she have rubbing problems with people in the car?

shes running Brock B2s with 195/45/15s!!

she had 2 in the back (totalling about 30 stone!!) and i don't think there was any rubbing as far as i know!!
the mudflaps were getting a fair bit of abuse tho lol!
coilovers are the way to go if ya wanna go low!

haha i can see the problems with the flaps
u gotta love less is more like that is very nice m8
wt do u reckon about this bumper crackin with lowered suspension
u reckon a strut brace is needed?

explain please

a strut brace stiffens up the body of a car to help it corner better and make steering more precise!
they work very well with coilovers!!

i read somewhere on this forum about the rear bumper cracking beneath the passenger side lights
someone said that it was the coilovers puttin more flex through the bodwork, causing a bond to split
depending on the price/availability of strut braces im gonna get one
ive seen front ones but no rear ones

oh haven't seen anything on that!! the coilovers have been on my g/fs car for well over 2 years and its had no problems at all as far as i'm aware!!
