Lowering On 16's... Opinions Please

I'm finally getting round to lowering my Polo...
I have 16" wheels: http://www.tigerstyle.co.uk/poloforum/v ... hp?t=20788).

I noticed that people on this forum were buying unbranded springs and shocks from a German eBayer, and recommending them. I had a look at his shop, and I'm most probably going to buy from him also.

http://search.stores.ebay.co.uk/Streetw ... 83QQsofpZ0

Which springs would be recommended for my car? I want it to look neat, but one of my main concerns is rubbing (which I want none of!).

I was thinking maybe the 45/35mm? The page is in German, but I used Altavista.com to translate, and it says that 'Mit 5-facher Nutenverstellung an der Hinterachse => ca. 45/25 bis 45/45mm einstellbar!!' translates to 'With 5-fold slot adjustment at the rear axle = approx.. 45/25 to 45/45mm adjustable!!'. Does this mean I can adjust the springs to 45/45mm?

Any advice appreciated.

If you're on a budget (like me), go for these:

They have a far greater droppage than the ones on fleabay.

i've bought my springs and shocks of that bloke you mentioned. get a 60 drop and you should be fine with low profile tyres

What size are your wheels? You get any rubbing with passengers in the back?
Also, I don't want the top part of the wheels to be covered up by the car body... 60's okay for that? Or 45's better?

mine are 15's with 205/50/15 tyres basically same size as 16s with low profile tyres.. i have a small gap between body and the rim, and there's virtually no scrubbing until you get a car full of people
