Hi,
Been offered a G40 for £1150
1992 J plate Black
131000 miles
DTM exhaust
Performance panel filter
Two new yokohama tyres
I think i'd want to remove all the crap and keep it standard
Worth it?

Hi mate,
Aparently there was an 8 year service history which was lost during a house move.
No Tax but MOT till feb 2007

Thats been on ebay twice and hasn't sold. I enquired about it but its not no charger history and hasn't ever been service or rebuilt.
I figured it was one hell of a distance for me to travel and have it die part way home on the motorway.

I was thinking that.
You can use your driving licence for ID. I've used mine to go to Ireland on a plane.

Cos this week after all the 'terror' crap everyone who flys has to have their passport.
It's a 300mile drive / 7 hour train ride / 1 hour 5 min flight
And i'm struggling!

just having a more serious think about this - how much is a charger refurb?
I've decided i'm driving up and towing it back i think (unless my mate decides he's coming with and driving back with me)

Definately a wise choice where superchargers with no history are concerned.Get it rebuilt by pitstop ASAP

I must be bloody mad!
I'm catching the train up and then headin a bit further north to go see a friend of mine in Inverness then driving back down.
I think i'm definatly doing a charger refurb - what would this involve? I suppose its only bearings and seals. What with just rebuilding my gearbox i suppose a charger wouldn't be too difficult
