Polo Boot light 2003.

Have seen several messages regarding Polo boot lights.
My 2003 Polo Twist has a light fitting which I bought from VW spares but no wires anywhere near to either plug in or look suitable.
I asked the VW dealer when the car was new but not much help really.
I see Mole has a fix-but no details or pictures.
Can anyone suggest a fix or has provided a solution.
