Is there any way i could get a dump valve for a tdi? I saw a guy at a cruise with a 306 tdi and he had one connected up something to do with his oil pressure and it worked but he went before i could find out how he did it. Also, is it worth fitting an induction kit to a tdi or would a panel filter be better?
Cheers,
Peanut.

In all honesty, a dump valve or an induction kit isn't really the way to go for power in a TDi.
However, this little box of tricks is...

If thats out of your budget, theres plenty of other companies that'll give you massive bhp and torque figures for less cash

I have a Ford Mondeo Zetec S 2.0 TDCi fitted with a TUNIT device from
www.tunit.co.uk It has upped the power from 130BHP to 155 and economy hasn't changed. They work very well with small TDI's too. Example the renault 1.5 DCi 80 went up to 105BHP!!
I tried the dump valve, adds no power whatsoever, just makes a nice noise. After the tunit you should try an uprated intercooler.

you know this TUNIT thing, can you just take it out so your engine is back to normal? Or does it permanently change the engine management system?

If you want a dump valve for 'cosmetic' purposes send me your contact details as me and a couple of friends are developing one for an Arosa TDi
the finnished cost should be about £150
