Help needed!

I got my polo services last week and the fan belt was replaced and sorted out.
A week later I have the "ESP" light and another light in the shape of an "engine" light up on my dash board....what does this mean????

Check the handbook, i think maybe its something to do with Emissions?

if the ESP is the one i think it is, its got something to do with ur journeys. wats ur journeys length like?
if it is the one i think it is i took my car to the garage when it came on in my car and when i took it to the garage he said its nothing to worry about, and that its cause i do short journeys. he told me to do a longer journey. not sure how long tho. but if its a longish journey it should then sort itself out and it will urn itself of. if not take it to the garage and see wat they say.
