My car was parked on the road like it usually is, i live in a dead end and while i was at work some bloody idiot reversed into the back of my car, it made a dent in the arch and another one next to it, luckily though got some witnesses who noted his reg number down, and my dad reported it to the police and they said that you will have to get your insurance to chase him down. It's minor damage you wouldn't notice it until i told you, but i got quoted £220 to fix it!! now i don't know what to do, because i haven't declared my mods, but i only have TPFT insurance so i'm not claiming on my insurance, but if i tell them to chase up this guy will they come and have a look at the damage or not? or will the other insurance company come and have a look at the damage? either way i don't know what to do, should really declare my mods!!

My insurance company asked me about mods when I bought my car - I told them 'just after market alloys' and this increased my premium by about £20 per year. If you're not honest with them about mods, they will declare your policy as void when it comes to the crunch. When they send an inspector to check the damage any mods will be noted and compared with information given by you.

well at the end of the day its all about living life on the edge!
i haven't declared anyof my mods because quite frankly its a waste of money, money that could be spent elsewhere (this is what happens when you move out!)
