I have just upgraded from a 1.0 6n to the 16v 6n and I am wondering how many miles people get with before the petrol light comes on from a full tank. The reason I am asking this is that my car has done about 230 miles and has hit the line before the red. With my old 1.0 I used to have about 330 before that stage, so I am wondering if it has a problem. I have been booting it fairly at times but should this make the car use that much petrol.

sounds about right - 320 miles out of a whole 16v tank is the best I EVER got. usually closer to 280/300.
giving it some would get 250 miles I'm sure. what sort of driving?

Blimey! Mine must be a special 16v as the light doesn't come on till about 320 miles

My best ever was 412 miles with 2lts remaining!
On average I tend to get about 350 miles out of a tank. And that's with 15 miles motorway to and from work at 80mph (i.e. 4200rpm). And plenty of red lining along the back roads between the motorway and home

It's also modified running a K&N panel filter and a full cat back stainless exhaust system.
