cheap to run, quite fast for a 1.3. easily tuneable depandant on how much money you have! and IMO, the mk3 polo looks ace, especially in a coupe!

Might be worth having a scroll through the search. there is bound to be loads of posts about GT's that you can have a good read!

I just bought a 1993 GT in very very good condition. Its done 95k but has an extensive service history and then engine runs as sweet as a nut.
AND it has been owned by a lady for 8 years and is therefore completely standard... NOT FOR LONG!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

Cost me £1300 which i dont think is unreasonable.

ouch, sorry mate but it better be in perfect condition for that price

but then end of the day a car is only worth what someone is willing to pay

does seem steep for a standard GT but if your happy then thats all that matters mate :-)

I just sold my GT saloon for that price btw and that was nothing like standard hehe.

I wanted a standard one. Want to put my own mark on it. There were only a few other ones for sale and they were all rot boxes.

And yes i am happy with it :)

cool, im looking for a new ride at the moment and the few i have looked at so far have been terrible...i just wish people would be honest with their adverts..laquer peel over 1/3 of the car and dent city doesn't mean superb condition throughout. also a couple of tiny scratches translates into 58% of car looks like its had sandpaper on it...every lock had 10" of scratches round it..the last owner must have had parkinsons!

I had a 72k GT really good car, not fast but quick enough for a bit of fun, nothing went wrong with it, so pretty reliable, great if you cant afford insurance on a g40, i sold it for £700... I wouldn't pay more than that for one unless it was super low milage.
