Im considering lowering my Polo when i get it by 60mm Front n back. Will it effect my driving , or should i be safe and drop to 40mm - but I do want to achieve a nice low polo
Cheers

it all depends on the size of your wheels really bud. a 60mm drop shud be fine on say 15's or 16's. ive got 16s an i first lowered it 40mm an it looked crap lol so i went out an got a coilover kit an its now about 80mm

Definately go for a 60mm drop, only time you hit on bumps is when you got 4 people in the car

You'll get the odd high ass bump that you'll hit but it's all part of the fun

Two things :
1.Would I be able to get 60mm Springs and Shocks for mine making it sit nice on my 15" wheels. Pics of my car are posted in my Update thread.
2.Were would I get a nice cheap set of 60mm or 40mm springs and shocks and would it be worth the extra money to just get coilovers?
Cheers

coilovers are handy since you can adjust your car the the perfect height you want easily. but shocks an springs are gona cost you about half as much but if you dont like it and want it heigher or lower then ur buggered really lol. Thers a guy on clublupo selling really cheap kits (£160 i think) id go have a butchers on ther!

What 80mm like m8 with ur coilovers? Easy enough with the ramps? Coilovers handling any better than springs?

yea ramps and big speed bumps tend to give me abit of a hard time

and bumpy roads tend to make me look like im head bangin to sum proper hardcore tunes! but yea def go for the shocks and springs if you can coz if you jus fit the lowering springs by themselves the ride will be very springy and the handling will be poo and you will wear your shocks out!

I'm at least 100mm down (If my guess is correct more like 120) and it's still very drivable. Only thing is when I need to traverse BIG speed bumps, a run up is KEY

go get a pic up of the stance alex.....120mm sounds a bit optomistic in a 6n2 like......maybe not, but wouldnt mind seein it.

KW coilies are hard enough to go down that low.
My subframe is what, 20-25mm off the floor, with 30mm of thread left on my KWs
